Factory Project Manager

Our mission is supported by an ambitious vertically integrated approach: design & manufacture of small satellites combined with development of earth observation services.

Since its creation in 2018, the company has already grown substantially. Our team gathers more than 25 engineering expertise, from hardware design to software development & data science.

In 2024, Aerospacelab counts offices in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), Toulouse (France), Lausanne (Switzerland) and US West Coast with more than 200 full-time employees, with the ambition to position itself as the European leader in small satellites.

Role Overview

Manage infrastructure and production related projects for Aerospacelab, including our Megafactory project in Charleroi and our US factory project.

That includes:

  • Be an active member of the design team
  • Be accountable for execution / reception phase
  • Develop and implement new factory layouts to optimize production efficiency
  • Create and monitor global planning and budget
  • Write specifications and select appropriate supplier, including contractual discussions
  • Collaborate with local contractors and vendors to achieve project milestones
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute the setup, installation, and commissioning of the new factories
  • Regular (1x/month) travels to US in order to support the installation and setup of our US Factory

Must have

  • Project management experience (planning and budgeting)
  • Engineering understanding : Familiarity with technical aspects of the manufacturing processes and equipment involved
  • Industry knowledge : Understanding of the specific aerospace industry and manufacturing processes
