Since its creation in 2018, the company has already grown substantially. Our team gathers more than 25 engineering expertise, from hardware design to software development & data science.

In 2024, Aerospacelab counts offices in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), Toulouse (France), Lausanne (Switzerland) and US West Coast with more than 200 full-time employees, with the ambition to position itself as the European leader in small satellites.

Role Overview

  • Manage all phases of the assigned project – from proposal to delivery to the customer : design, manufacturing, assembly, integration and flight operations
  • Be accountable for the on time, on cost, on quality delivery of the space mission to the Internal, commercial or Institutional customer
  • Be responsible for ensuring the program achieves its goals on important criteria: Satisfaction of the internal, commercial or institutional customer, compliance with technical performance, delivery on schedule, delivery with quality, program financial results
  • Be the main interface with all the project internal/external stakeholders (customers, …)
  • Define & lead the product development plan, prioritize the activities in order to ensure the most valuable and proper functionality of the product deliverable
  • Drive tradeoffs at project level
  • Manage the project team during all the phase of the project
  • Lead the partners and major suppliers including reviews and deliverables in collaboration with the supply chain department
  • Manage the various risks that occurred during the project and implement all the appropriate actions to reduce the effect
  • Promote innovation and agility inside the project in a new space context
  • Participate in continuous improvement process to a young and dynamic fast-growing company

Must have

  • MSc or PhD degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in complex system project management
  • Basic knowledge of the key technical domains in satellite design and manufacturing
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain and quality processes
  • Team player: ability to work with a team on resolving complex technical problems and complex management activities
  • Curious and creative in approaching cutting edge products in space industries
  • Customer oriented
  • Excellent communication skills and ease at working across different cultures and different levels of an organization
  • Be fun
  • Language: Fluent English, French is a plus
